This is 1 of UB40's best albums to date.I think it may be hard for the American fans to understand at times,as it can speed up quite a bit!But once you give it a couple of plays right through then you get the hang of whats actually being said in the songs. Being a very big fan of UB40 I think this is great music theres dub and ska in here....BRILLIANT mix!! Anyway take a listen I think most of the fans will love it!

Cool Birmingham Toasting,

Just had to respond after reading the poor review of this alblum. I have liked UB40 for years, but this record, featuring guest rappers from England, is different and very good. For those who like English reggae and UB40 before they became acceptable for your grandmother, this is a must. It's rough around the edges, but a great party alblum.

This album by UB40 is worth buying for collectors or for people who like 4 different versions of the same song.
Ofcourse there are two single tracks on it which can be found on any "best of " album by UB40. "I got you babe " with Chrissie from the Pretenders and "Don't brake my heart ". I'm just saying, when you're a fan..get this one because the dubbing is fun. Non fans might be disappointed with just two tracks where they can hold on to.

I wanted a CD of Little Baggariddim and the person I ordered from sent me this. Well, at least I got some of the songs from LB. This is just ok - not bad, not good. If you want a CD of reggaelike grooves and rapping/toasting then this should work for ya. The best cuts are the ones from Little Baggariddim.

not typical UB40 but still hard hitting,

This is not a good introduction to UB40 if you've never heard them before... BUT if you are into UB40 and are familiar with their songs then get this album. It is basically dub versions of their songs with DJs toasting (rapping) on every track. The best tracks are featuring Pato Banton who is well known in reggae.
So once again... dont get this as a first UB40 album but if you like reggae dub style with toasting and are familiar with UB40's songs... then this is a must have. Excellent.

**Thank you so much for making this album UB-40**I was not the biggest fan of UB-40 until I heard this album, back in college, but after the first listening, I was so blown away!! This great music represents real reggae and its wonderful followers, way more powerful and meaningful than the commercial side to UB-40*. So spiritual and clever, is the track- "Buzz Feeling". the kind of music they should play on the radio, to open up peoples minds to reality! All throughout the album generally brilliant lyrics with incredible reggae sound and masterful production by UB-40, this is truely a collectors item! If you dont own or like this album, and are a reggae or UB-40 fan, then I am truely lost for words!! Praise JAH!!!! In fact on an end note, after initially hearing this wonderful album, we must of played it over a million times and included it in virtually every session*** JAH RASTAFARI **

I think the only UB40 tracks on this album are, I got you babe,Don't break my heart,Hip hop lyrical robot and my fav Mi spliff.I don't know why but these songs were then released on the LP Little baggariddim. This is still a good album if you like the mix of the two sounds

Very Disappointing,

This is not really a UB40 CD - It is UB40 giving help (and a name) to young wannabees - mainly from central England. The two tracks with Pato Banton are not too bad, but the rest are very poor. The saving grace are the 3 'real' UB40 tracks that were originally on a 12" single that accompanied the album, these being 'Don't Break My Heart', 'Mi Spliff' and the clasic 'I Got You Babe' with Chrissie Hyndes - This one is strictly for collectors - If you want to really listen to older UB40 material I suggest CD's like 'Signing Off' and 'Present Arms' or the newer 'Promises and Lies' and 'Guns in the Ghetto'.
