5.0 out of 5 stars WOW
A very good "re-creation" of the original musical, all the songs written by Rodgers & Hart for the original production are performed quite well. A unique chance to hear "lost gems" such as "My Prince" and "Sweethearts of the team"
The orchestration is fine and the cast is well direct. Mr. Perkins is , as usual, astonishing I love his wonderful voce!

While certainly not the greatest work of Rodgers or of Hart, who can argue with a George Abbott-directed, spunky-kids-playing-football show that offered Desi Arnaz his first moment in the spotlight? Opening in the late '30's, pretty soon shows like this would be no more.

Well, I can argue. The sound on this recording is pretty thin and the mix in places is -- sorry I don't have better words--but it is weird. The cast performs with gusto but with varying levels of musicality. Maybe a formulaic show like *Too Many Girls* shouldn't get some lovingly assembled definitive recording. Perhaps youth should just have its fling. Go team!
