Here is some of what I love about this book:
The contents are exactly what is given in the product description; I didn't find any hidden surprises there. It begins with a tutorial on everything needed to create the bags and embroidery. Cariello covers: SUPPLIES needed, (such as fabrics, trims, embellishments, embroidery floss, yarns, wool, ribbons, buttons, beads, and thread); and EQUIPMENT, (embroidery hoops, varying sizes of needles, pins, scissors, markers, measuring tools, sewing machine in good working order--only a straight stitch needed, steam iron, and maybe a thimble and needle threader.) I've seen all of these needed supplies at a craft store. I've obtained several of the recommended equipment items online (hoops, needles, markers, etc.) so if necessary that is an option. Each project begins with the stitches used, materials, and supplies needed to complete it. (Cariello advises that everything for the bag be gathered prior to getting started. Good tip!Read more ›
