The Best,

I tried 4 different poop bag holders, and this product is by far the best. Easy to put a refill roll in, easy to pull a bag when needed, and perfectly hanging on the leash. Well made with hard plastic. I won't go for anything else. The combination of black holder with blue poop bags looks even chic (I'm not kidding). In New York City where I live, there are so many selfish dog owners who leave mess on the streets. But if you truly love your dog, you've got to clean after him or her religiously - Who wants your own dog to walk on the streets covered with it? So, for me, this product is in fact the proof of true love for my best friend. Join the club.

Bags on Board Doggie Waste Dispenser Pack,

Convenient to use because the dispenser attaches to any leash, ensuring that you won't forget to take a bag along with you everytime you go out.
The dispenser is contructed thusly: -- The bone-shaped dispenser's end cap screws shut (as opposed to just pushing shut) which prevents the cap from coming off and having the roll of bags unravel on the ground. -- There are two holes on either side of the bone-shaped dispenser. One hole allows the bags to come out, and the other hole is for your thumb to hold the roll so you won't dispense more than one bag at a time. The only negative thing I can say about the bags is that you really have to yank to get the bags to tear off, but this is a minor detail. I'm just glad that the bags are biodegradable. This bone-shaped dispenser comes in various colors so you can match it with the rest of your dog's accessories, which is another plus.

Just the handiest thing EVER,

I think I have grocery bags and newspaper bags stuffed in pockets of every coat I own - hooking this to the dogs leash ends all of that, because wherever you have the dog, you have the bags you need. Easy, and they're biodegrable, so you can recycle all of those grocery bags instead of putting them into the landfill. In the winter, I "open" the end of the next bag on the roll before I leave the house so I'm not struggling with it with my gloves on later, and it helps (a lot) to train your dog to stick around until you've had a chance to pick up.

Great idea, but not durable,

I've got 2 dogs and bought several of these to attach to their leashes. I never had a problem getting the plastic rolls in or getting them out to pick up the droppings. But, over time if you drop your leash on cement every now and then like I end up doing, the dispenser tends to hit the ground first and the top of the dispenser can fly off. The little section of plastic that is between the dispenser hole and the end is not that thick, and the dispenser cracks right there. Thus you can no longer tighten the 2 pieces together very well, it will just keep turning and turning. The dispenser might stay together, but it is a tenuous hold at best. It does get old having to re-roll the poop bags and stuff them back in after they fall out. I also keep a leash in my car and accidentally put an object on top of it (not that heavy either) and it cracked the thin piece too. Admittedly, that is my fault, but it really doesn't take much to damage the screw top section. I need new ones now, but don't think I'll go this route again.

Best purchase I've made for my dogs,

I'm so glad I bought this dispenser. Before, I was trying to carry four grocery bags for every walk with my two labs, and on more than one occasion a fifth bag was needed. I thought the bag size was appropriate for our 50 and 60 lb dogs. I can understand how small dog owners may feel like they are wasting bags though. I thought size of the dispenser was reasonable for our dogs as well. I do suggest hooking the dispenser near the top of the leash where you hold it. My dogs were not impressed when the dispenser was down on the leash by their collars. Also, I found that the clip for the dispenser was difficult to remove, so I changed it out for a carabiner clip, as another reviewer recommended--easy on, easy off.
I like the white markings between each bag. This made unrolling the right amount and tearing much easier. Overall, this is one of the best purchases I've made for my dogs, and I intend to buy the large refill packs for the dispenser soon. Update: Since I went through 30 bags very quickly, I ordered more from Amazon. I highly recommend buying them in bulk from DogStuff4u, as the bags were about half the price of the name brand bags.

Going back to the red hydrant as this one won't stay closed,

I used to have the red hydrant bags on board sip tied to my boys leash. Had to replace the zip tie about twice a year. Saw this bone with the hook and thought hey, I like the hook. Well, the hook gets a little bump from the second leash in my hand and it pops open. And the end cap comes off too often. Had to re-roll the bags twice and search in the dark to find the cap. Then I just started putting single bags inside. Well, tonight was the final straw when I lost the cap yet again and no blue trail to follow to help locate it on 11 acres. Well, time to zip tie the old red hydrant back on.
Nice try Bags On Board, but not for me.

Mostly good, but breaks easily if dropped,
By
This review is from: Bags on Board Bone Dispenser with 30 Refill Bags (Misc.)
I'm on my third one of these and will not being buying it again.
The problem is with the design, specifically, that it breaks easily if dropped. The small loop attached to the main plastic bone is very fragile at the attachment point (which is very small) and, since it's part of the mold, cannot move. (it's like an "O" that attaches at the bottom, rather than an upside down "U" shape, as other brands have). It's also made of a more brittle hard plastic, rather than a more forgiving soft plastic, meaning that it tends to break rather than give under pressure. If you accidentally accidentally drop your leash with this thing attached (even a short distance from your hand to the ground), you'll probably cause the ring to snap off, rendering it useless. This happened to me twice already. Otherwise, it's not a bad product and works well, but until they address the issue with attachment ring design, I can't give it a full endorsement.

Great little dispenser,

This is a great idea, and nice, inexpensive product that any dog owner will be happy to have. We attached ours to a retractable leash.
Within a week the plastic clip broke...not a big deal, I went to the hardware store and got a locking metal flexible band meant for keys, and attached it. Perfect. About two weeks later the larger plastic part of the holder cracked, right by the dispenser hole. The plastic gets thin there and is a little weaker. Because of this, the top would thread in and then pop out, thus not staying put. I put a ziptie around it and it's worked out fine...but still... Thin plastic breaks...esp. with dogs around! Still, a great product, can't be beat for the price. Buy 2 for when your first one breaks!

great dispenser but cheap plastic,

I loved this dispenser until the first time we dropped the leash it was attached to and the little loop on the bone that held the fastener broke. We'd had it about a week. Well, ok, no big deal, I wrapped a zip tie around it and hooked the plastic ring through that and atatched it back to the leash. Well, the leash got dropped again, and that plastic loop broke too. The bone part has held up great, but now I need something else to hang it on the leash. And really the zip tie wrapped around it is not very convenient either. It dispenses well and is easy to load, I just wish the parts that attach it to the leash were sturdier. I am trying to decide if I get another and see if it lasts or find a different style dispenser altogether. It is cheap, so at least I am not out a lot of money.

This bone dispenser is stylish and convenient. It hangs on the leash loop and the blue looks great with the black. The bone is way easy to fill and refill so cleaning after your dog is a no brainer.
