Before I found the Baha'i Faith, I had lived and explored may avenues of worship, Christian, Jewish, Yogic, and more. This book of divinely revealed prayers was among my first introductions to Baha'i, and in it I found a completeness, a unity of spiritual thought that brought together the inner essence of all faiths. Divided into esily searched sections (healing, unity, spiritual qualities, assistance) these gems of prose, each as powerful as the Lord's Prayer of Christendom, help the reader to approach the Divine Oneness of God in uplifting, inspiring, Holy Words. Recommended for anyone seeking a way to express love for our Creator.

Baha'is use prayers such as these daily in their journey through this world. Here, prayers are divided up by themes such as aid and assitance, dealing with tests and difficulties, marriage and family life, spiritual guidance, healing, praise and grattitude, and many more. These prayers set a specific tone of elegance and delicate thoughtfulness to daily prayer for anyone who longs for spiritual guidance and awareness in daily life.

This Prayer Book is ideal for anyone who wants to communicate with God and does not know how or what to say. The type of prayer needed is categorized by various topics, depending on the situation in which you desire help or need to communicate, i.e. spiritual qualities, morning, meetings, assistance, teaching, tests and difficulties, healing, death, marriage, expectant mothers, children, etc. This Prayer Book was my very first introduction to the Baha'i Faith. I had wished I had this book growing up as a child. The person praying is never lost for words. The power of these Writings revealed by the Prophets and Key Figures of the Baha'i Faith is for anyone, no matter what religious faith, or whether or not you are a member of any religious affiliation. There is no other Prayer Book as this one. Excellent for Christmas gifts, someone who has suffered a loss, children, youth, newly married couple, any adult, or just as a personal Guide. There is nothing comparable to this Baha'i Prayer Book, I don't believe.

More than a source of inspiration! In addition to the beautiful imagery it uses, the prayers inside this book *do* work!

Well, "he would recommend this book, wouldn't he!" and yes, I do see your point, but this is more than me just saying "the faith is great!" I really connected with this book long before I became a Baha'i. "Prayer is a ladder by which everyone may ascend to heaven" - Muhammad, and how true that felt when I read the words already familiar to me "lift me up to the heaven of holiness, O Source of my Being." I still feel a tremendous uplifting feeling whenever I so much as open my prayer book, and it is my dearest wish that everyone will be able to feel themselves ascending to heaven as myself and Muhammad and countless others have. It is such a great bounty of God to be able to pray, for it requires such little effort and rewards so much, and the prayers of the Manifestation of God (Prophet) have the greatest power and truthfulness, while prayers of our own composition are prey to worldliness. I really feel that everyone can benefit immeasurably from prayer, and of course, "how can you think it doesn't work if you haven't tried it?" it really is worth the effort, if possible more! Prayer, I feel, is the best way to start on the path to spirituality, because it can be consciously done and sustained, and inevitably yields glorious fruits (good results), so pray, and let God come to you and assist you on your path towards union with Him.
