I am a Marine Engineer working in the engine room of a container ship. I am wrenching on machinery everyday and this wrench is the biggest and most important tool in my pocket. I've been amazed at the torque this wrench can handle and of course the bolts I've been able to break loose. The pipe wrench side of it works excellent too as long as the teeth are clean. The hole in the end is great for turning c-clamps and other small round objects that need turning. The wrench has some weight to it so it's come in handy as a hammer on more than one occasion as well. Just be careful not to use the pipe wrench teeth, the removable jaw, or the grove the jaw slides as your hammer face. If you do you might have to get the file out to repair a couple of dings to allow the jaw to move freely again. The 10" wrench fits nicely in your back pocket but is about the biggest size you can carry safely.

This wrench served me good for 8 solid years and and would have for at least another 8 but, unfortunately, I lost it last week. It was a very sad day. Here I am wasting no time to buy a new one.

bahco wrenches are nice to use. the strong and fit into smaller places that the bigger pipe wrenches can not. the jaws being re-versable give it the added feature that other wrenches do not have.

I love a good tool and this is one. It fits in my tool bag nicely and it has a larger capacity than a regular 6 inch crescent. Plus it does double duty as a pipe wrench also. The jack on our job trailer, the handle broke off when we were de-mob.ing and all I had was this wrench. I turned the jaw to the pipe wrench side and finished getting the jack retracted. Great little tool!

These shifters are very nice to hold and use and seem very strong. However i did have a little problem where i couldn't get the mouth to open up fully as some of the shifter where the moving head was had been rounded and wouldn't allow the head to move past that point. however a little grind and they are working pefectly.

First of all let me say that these tools are very high quality items which are infinitely superior to most of the "junk" type chinese tools you see in this price range. For your average home mechanic - these will be the last tools you will EVER need to buy - period.

For a professional mechanic - these tools will serve you well also. Now a pro can always manage to bend, break, or damage any tool - no matter the brand. And it is always handy to have a tool truck which comes by for easy replacement. But lets be serious for a moment. How much would this tool from Snap-On, MAC, Matco, or Cornwell cost? Now compare that to the price of these. You could buy 2 of these, and if one breaks, have your own spare while you get the warranty taken care of - and STILL have money left over.

Bahco is a reputable brand. It is owned by Snap-On Tools/JH Williams Tool Company - but it is not Snap-on itself. Bahco is headquartered in Sweden, and I believe have many of their manufacturing facilities in Europe, although after being acquired by Snap-On/JH Williams it appears they are now making some tools here also since some Bahco products now carry the Made in USA marking. Snap-On is headquartered here, and for the most part, made here in the USA. So it is truthful to say that Bahco is related to Snap-On. But do not think that the Bahco tool is made of the same casting and in the same facility as the Snap-On tool. I can find no information anywhere that implies this is the case, even after visiting the Snap-On, Bahco, and JH Williams corporate websites.

However that in no way affects the intrinsic quality and finish of these tools, which is outstanding, or the years of service they will provide.

Lightweight compact quality tool.
this little wrench has jaws that open as wide as any 8" wrench.
the adjustable jaw is convenient and when you switch sides it can grab the any small pipe or strip thread!

good tool

I'm a Ammonia refrigeration service tech and work with a lot of schedule 80 pipe and fittings for pumpouts and other basic service and this guy is awesome! I mostly use it as a backup wrench for both bolts and pipe that way I only have to carry one other adjustable and one regular pipe wrench so it lightens my pockets on the run. It gets in some tighter spots better than normal pipe wrenches but beware the pipe wrench side is better for holding than using like a standard pipe wrench. When it bites into the pipe it doesn't let go quite as easily. Also bites into all-thread like a pitbull and if exposed enough can grab rounded off bolt heads, nuts and flare fittings. I use it everyday and LOVE IT!!

These are the absolute best adjustable/crescent wrenches you can buy. I work offshore, and let me tell you, when you're in a tight spot (I keep this in my pocket at all times) this will help you out of a bind. Tough nut? No problem. Something round being stubborn? Flip the end around and use it as a pipe wrench. I have used and abused this thing for 6 solid weeks. The only way I'll buy another one is if someone drops it in the drink, because it WONT break. It also has a convenient measure gauge on one side (up to 1 1/8" safely) so if you're unsure of a size of a bolt head or nut, you can get the right tools the first time!
