This recording is one of Gillespie's essentials of course. Sadly the label, in order to avoid to issue it in 2-CDs, edited the originally 20-minute track "Olinga" down to 11:25... So, we still need the 2-record set on vinyl.

Dizzy Sounds Fantastic here.The Music here is Incredible.The Vibe&tones on this Set are Rich in Quality.The Music here is Very Essential.A Must Have.Dizzy is One Of Musics Greatest Teachers.What A Genius Of Sound&Tone.

I really, really love this album. It is laid back, but the lyricism and speed of his playing and the style of music really makes it. I have over 30 Diz pieces, but this one is at the top of the list.
