The Unthank sisters have an uncanny knack for reaching and holding notes that will literally serach through the depths of your soul. A beautiful accompaniment of violin and piano make this album ideal for winter listening, as the the dark sounds and songs of Northern England are filled with equal, perfectly juxtaposed parts melancholy and joy.

I will continue to gush about this group and the 2 Unthanks sisters. The two finest english vocalists since Sandy Denny and Anne Briggs. If you don't own all their records you must have a sad life or no taste in music. Make them wealthy, they deserve it. Stop listening to all the crap out there and get this.
