This book has basic recipes for just about anything you can bake, from cakes to biscuits to savouries such as meat pies and pizzas.
Each recipe I've baked has come out well and tasted great, and its format is easy to read and understand. This book is perfect for the novice baker. For a more serious baker, the book houses a collection of all the basic recipes you'll need in one book, but if you're looking for gourmet, "blow their socks off" recipes, this probably isn't the book.
I'm a more experienced baker, and I don't regret my purchase for a second - in fact, I bought one for each of my sisters and my mother. A word of caution if you collect AWW cookbooks: many recipes in this book are duplicated in several other AWW books - this appears to be a collection of their popular recipes.
