About the Author
Cakes 4 Fun was launched in 2001 by Carolyn White, a former prot?g? of Lindy Smith. She runs two busy shops in Putney with a talented team of designers, specialising in bespoke, contemporary and novelty cakes; also running popular cake decorating and sugarcraft courses. Their cakes have been featured in many wedding magazines, including Brides and The Good Wedding Guide, as well as in Crafts Beautiful and Decoration Magazine. They are based in London, UK.

The book is pretty good on gettting creative ideas and cute characters. Bakerella's book is better, but still a good addition to the collection.

Just got this book - loved reading it had not even baked anything when my daughter-in-law came over and loved it - gave it to her and now I am going to order another one for me - very good book with very good instructions.

I pre-ordered and finally!, after anxiously awaiting just recently received this little book in the mail last week. She has some really nice recipes I will try out, as well as cute ideas, but I don't care for fondant either, as a previous reviewer stated. I am going to try modeling chocolate (candy clay) in place of the fondant techniques mentioned, hopefully it will work out! I do like all the details and pictures, and the price I paid is definately worth it to me. Another "sweet" little cake pops book to add to my collection!

The book has a lot of ideas how to decorate the cake pops and it is really amazing how you can transform an ordinary looking cake pop to a dazzling showcase of edible art.

Well, I have to say I was very excited to get this book. It looks cute, and has cute ideas, but thats really where this book ends for me.
The recipes are in UK measurements and terms, and being from the US I was annoyed that I constantly had to turn pages back to the conversation chart. If you take the time to put in a conversation chart, please take the time to write in the US measurements in the recipe! I hate getting my nice new books dirty and that's what happened having to flip pages while baking. Also, this left me having to run out while baking to get MORE of the ingredients because by looking at the recipes alone, I vastly underestimated what was needed, SUCH a pain!
Also, as I have never made cakepops before, I was clueless on what things were supposed to look like as the process went on. For the binding she tells you to mix it until you get a consistency you like....ok and what is that supposed to mean? I was left guessing what things were supposed to look like and how they should feel.
I would have enjoyed this book much more as a baker if I didn't have to constantly flip pages to find the amounts needed of ingredients.

The book is a very quick book to read...
It has the basic notions and it's really easy to use.
There are a few sections dividing the cake pops by ocasion, techniques... presentation ideas. Maybe it's more orientated to begginers home bakers and not professional bakers who already has knowledge in the area of cake pops.
it's a cute book, with cute ideas... such as: Little devils cake pops, mini tiered cakes, little bears. Chicks coming out of eggs (for easter ideas) Bunnies, and cute reindeers for xmas.. and many other..
I recommend it if you do not have any other cakepop book, such as: Bakerella's cake pops.. or if you are new to the fabolous cake pop world :)
The only thing that i would add to this book in my personal opinion are more photos of "the making of" some cake pops shapes... and other techniques, that are not shown.. and might be tricky for begginers
