5.0 out of 5 stars Giant cupcakes are more fun!
I really like these. Nonstick, so they wash up easily. I haven't found papers for these yet so I just use a little oil and they come out clean. If you use a recipe for 24 muffins or cupcakes, it will make about 12 of these giant ones (just bake a little longer). These are about 1/3 of the price I've seen in kitchen stores, and they are of good quality.

3.0 out of 5 stars Muffin pans too big for most toaster ovens.
Be advised that the dimensions stated are wrong. These muffin pans are 12-1/2" by 8-1/2" by 1-1/2 inches -- too large for my 12-inch "large capacity" Delonghi Toaster Oven. It has been difficult to find muffin pans that will fit inside a toaster oven. These pans are well constructed, just a pity they aren't 1/2 inch shorter.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Big Size you need, April 1, 2007

These muffin pans are excellent. Be sure to buy two at once or you will have to reorder like I did.

They are perfect for nice-sized muffins (and cupcakes).

Plus, the real reason I bought mine was for making homemade rolls. Even if you just use frozen bread dough, you will get nice big fluffy rolls because the muffin tins are large enough to allow better rising than ordinary muffin tins.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wish I had these before!, March 2, 2007
This review is from: Baker's Secret 116466007 Basics Nonstick 6-Cup Texas Muffin Pan (Kitchen)
These muffin tins are great. I've been looking for a pan that made
the larger muffins for a long time. The muffins do not stick at all,
come out so nice. I would not say anything negative about these muffin
tins.

These are just wonderful! They make GR8 muffins and they are super easy to clean. Very low cost allowed me to buy 2. I had already bought 2 of the mini muffin pans of this same brand and line so I took the chance as I hadn't used them yet until after these arrived at which time I made a heap of mini & giant muffins. They were a GR8 success and they'll last awhile since I don't bake too often, but when I do, I tend to get a bit rough with my pans, but these keep coming up like brand spankin' new. Try making meat loaf muffins in either.....the mini size makes super appetizers and the jumbo, Texas size are GR8 for individual meat loafs and "stuffin muffins" around the holidays with leftover stuffing and an egg beat in....voila.

Our new range has one big oven and one small convection oven, so my old muffin pan that holds 12 small muffins doesn't fit in the small oven. I had to look for a smaller pan, and I found this. This TX size muffin pan's price is so good I bought three, so I can make double batches of large muffins (a 12 small muffin/cup cake recipe makes about 8 TX size ones). I used Alton Brown's (from Food Network's Good Eats) blueberry muffin recipe and it was awesome. The muffins are so light and moist. As AB specified in the recipe I used no paper cups (just grease the pan lightly) and the bottom of the muffins brown nicely, and they don't stick.

Now I longer need to pay close to $2 at Starbucks for a blueberry muffin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big Muffins!, August 4, 2009

Sometimes you just want to make a bigger muffin. I have used my Chicago Metallic Professional Nonstick 12-Cup Muffin Pan for quite awhile, which works greats but gives you lots of little muffins instead of those nice big muffins you can find on sale at grocery stores. Chicago Metallic also makes a 6-Cup Muffin Pan, but I figured I would try out the less expensive Baker's Secret brand.

It turns out that less is more! I am really pleased with this Baker's Secret 6-Cup Muffin Pan. I don't know if they are quite "Texas-sized," but the pan does make some nice sized larger muffins.

I haven't used any Muffin Cups, and I usually don't when I am baking, and everything has turned out just great. The non-stick coating means that the muffins pop out with no muss and no fuss. Clean up is a snap, and I don't use more than a little butter spray on the pans before baking.

I still love Chicago Metallic, but I am more likely to give Baker's Secret a try after my success with this muffin pan!

This is a great product, the non-stick surface works well, the size of the muffins is great, not the small cupcake size you would normally find! Buy one, you won't be disappointed!
