Lots of good stuff to bake as gifts,

The synopsis that appears with this book, is not for this book at all. There is no mince pie or ginerbread in this book. This is no countdown calendar, either. However, I really like this book for what it does have: cookies that pack well to mail to faraway friends, some interesting biscotti recipes (I can't wait to try the cranberry pistachio one), and special holiday breads and cakes, including some unusual fruitcakes (one made with dried berries instead of that yucky, gooey stuff in most fruitcakes). |
