Biography

Rush – Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart – is without question one of the most inventive and compelling groups in rock history, equally famed for both its virtuoso musicianship and provocative songwriting.

Just last year, a career-chronicling Rolling Stone feature praised the band for its continuing artistic vitality, noting that “It’s true that Rush doesn’t mean today what it did in ’76 or… Read more in Amazon's Rush Store

4.0 out of 5 stars An informative interview with Alex Lifeson, November 13, 2000

This review is from: Baktabak Interview: The Story Of Kings (Audio CD)
This is for hard-core Rush fans only. It's an interview with Alex recorded right after the release of Hold Your Fire (circa 1987). Alex is interviewed by two British journalists in what sounds like a restaurant (you can hear dishes clanging together in the background).

Alex talks in depth about the writing process between the three of them, what it's like in the recording studio, life on the road, his childhood etc. Not too many surprises hear for major Rush fans, but a very interesting listen to one of the most underrated guitarists of the last thirty years. Alex sounds like a great guy to just hang out and drink a few beers with.

I definetly recommend this to die-hard fans. My only complaint is that it's rather short (about 30 minutes).
