For the money, it serves its intended purpose. My son really liked it. It's like the car shades that fold up and pop out when you need them. Similar material, so durability may be an issue, especially with kids folding/unfolding it.

It's so much easier to take along to play with friends that the plastic arena. This was a good investment.

I wanted to give my boys an 'official' place to battle their Bakugans. I searched for Bakugan arena everywhere and could not believe how many options I had. M y decision to buy this mat boiled down to 1) size 2) ease of use, 3) mobility 4) cost and 5) durability. This mat is huge when opened. It offers a large area to use as the arena. Someone may consider that because the mat does not have walls to confine the Bakugans a downfall as the Bakugans can roll off the mat. That never seemed to bother my sons. Honestly, I never saw the Bakugans rolls off the mat either when played. 2) Very easy to use. The mat unfolds easily and folding it up is simple for me to do but not my kids necessarily. But they are just 5 and 7 so I didn't expect them to be able to. 3) My sons can take it anywhere. It is light and small allowing it to easily fit in their backpacks. 4) This was the cheapest of all arenas I saw at the time. 5) While the material this mat is made of is rather flimsy, the fact that it can be easily stored and is lightweight my sons have not managed to destroy it. I think this is a good buy. My sons use it a lot and have fun with it.
