I got this for my 7 year old son who loves Bakugon. He loved the mat, but within a few times of him foldin g up the mat for storage, the metal ring that expands it was bent/warped. Now the mat does not lay flat and is useless. It is unrealistic to think that a nylon printed mat that is about 30 inches in diamter and four plastic molded "ramps" which are more for in game storage than anything else is worht $30, let alone the fact that the mat cannot be properly stored by the age group that uses it. i would have rather gotten a latex rubber basded mat that could be rolled up - or even just a large plastic disk.

this is a playing field for bakugan balls. math skills are used in the game. it's much larger than i thought it would be.

This was a gift for my 8 year old son. The play mat was about 3 feet circle and looks like it's going to be fun. He opened it up and didn't have any Bakugan with him and no one to play with it since we are away from home. Would have been better if it included at least one of the Bakugans. My son can't "fold" it back up on his own which is a bit frustrating and we're hoping it doesn't end up broken because of it. It does include a carrying case which keeps it contained.

Great fun. Adds a dimension to rolling the marbles when you aren't even into the HP power and trading.

I thought I was getting a hard plastic "arena" for my son to use with his Bakugun. What I got was a spring load piece of fabric (think sunshade in your car) that pops open into a circle and a few very poorly functional plastic bits that don't hang on the edges as they are supposed to. I would not buy this again.

but I don't understand what this toy is all about. My daughter didn't "get" it either, but 5-year old grandson absolutely loves it. Whoever did the marketing on this Bakugan stuff deserves a huge bonus because alot of folks bought it without understanding what it was all about.
