Don't waste your time. If I could rate it lower I would. What an absolutely ridiculous game! I bought it for my 6 y/o, because he is starting to learn about Bakugan and Pokemon, which I abhor. I read the box and it said it was a cross between chess and checkers, which seemed harmless enough. Big mistake. It is far from chess or checkers. The game says for ages 5+, but unless your 5 y/o can read the game cards, there will be no game playing. The instructions are not at all clear. The pieces have to be put together, using a chart that is in the instructions. (I would recommend gluing them together permanently, once you figure out which pieces go together.) Why the manufacturer didn't just glue the pieces together themselves, I can't figure. We had to keep going back to the instructions several times before we could make a move, because it wasn't clear what we were supposed to do next. I purchased this game at a local thrift shop, for [...]. Anything more than that is thievery for this game.

I got this for my foster son who is in love with Bakugan. We had to first put all of the little half-round cardboard pieces onto all of the play pieces and match up with right ones to the right "g's". Then as soon as they touch them they fall off. So I'll have to match them all up again and then glue them on. The instructions aren't very clear and the cards are quite confusing for the kids. They're aren't sure what to do or who to do it with. Not impressed at all!
