I originally thought that the bottom zipped all the way around, but it is just two very small side pockets along with another small pocket in front. I like that it has 2 separate compartments which would give room for a lunch box, but I need good size pockets to hold water bottles.Not sure what "16" rolling backpack" means, but it does not have wheels. I am returning it because though it looks nice, it will not work for what we need it for.

I specifically needed a backpack with wheels, but this does not have any. We gifted it to someone else instead because it was nice, but we had to go out and buy something else with wheels.
