I weighed a given amount (of rocks in a bucket) on a very accurate bathroom scale. Then I weighed the bucket with this scale. It read half a pound less. But - on 10 successive weighings, it read exactly the same amount.
By comparison, the Travelite scale, by Magellans - advertised in the SkyMall magazine - gave successive readings differing as much as five pounds, and no two equal out of 12 weighings. So, allowing for the slight underindication, the Balanzza is a very good value.

The unit works just as promised. It's strong enough to hold a lot more weight than the 50 lbs. I needed for airline baggage rules. The lightest weight range is fine, too, for USPS rules.The TSA lock was a bit of "lagnap", (I think is the word for something extra.) Overall, a good deal.

I was very tired of "guestimating" the weight of my luggage, underpacking to make sure it would not be over 50lbs, etc. Now, I KNOW what my luggage weighs before setting out. There is also an alarm and flashlight on this lightweight, easy to pack gadget, plus it comes with a TSA approved luggage lock. I am so glad I purchased this! Thanks!
