It was disappointing to learn that all Ball/Kerr lids are lined with the toxin BPA. I hope they're working on a lid that is free of BPA, but in the mean time, if you're searching for lids without BPA, I suggest Tattler lids. They are reusable and guaranteed to last a lifetime.

I didn't realize these were so overpriced on here. The price I paid for just these lids was higher than the package of both lids and rings at my local grocery and hardware stores. For what Amazon & Deerso were charging, I could have bought 2 packages of these lids.

I've not yet used the lids so I cannot rate their effectiveness. But I was sorry to see that the tops were not decorated as shown in the image. Instead there is "crafted for quality, sealed for freshness", at the top and a little scroll at the bottom....neither of which, especially the former, were expected. The lid top can, of course, be covered by fabric or paper, but that is an extra step I was hoping to avoid. Perhaps Ball will, in the future, change the writing to a script font, to match the scroll, so that the top of the lid would be more decorative.

The lids I received are not the decorative lids that are shown on your Amazon listing. I think you better change the picture you have on this listing; as the lids I received are plain with the word Ball printed on top. I really thought I would received the decorative lids as that was what I really wanted. Other than that the price is good and the service is great. Sincerely, Mary

No problem with the product....seals jars well, which is what it is suppose to do. However, AMZN is higher priced on this product that the local grocery store. The local grocery store (I discovered after buying it once or twice via AMZN) has them for about half the cost so I have since stayed with buying them locally rather than online.
Gave them 4 stars rather than 5 because I don't understand why this product needs to be so high online.

Basically, I needed lids to fit some glass jars I bought at a garage sale. None of my local grocery stores had them (even though it is canning season) so I turned to Amazon.

I ordered the canning lids from Amazon because I had been to several stores in the Chicago area, and they were not available at this time of year. I found them at Amazon at a great price, ordered them, and had them in a few days. Easy! Next time I will not waste my time running around searching for them.

I looked at all in stores where I live, but couldn't find
this product. It is useful, and is much better than using throw away
products. The lids seal very well, and keep whatever is inside the jar fresh. I was just so happy to find that Amazon.com had what I needed.I thought they wouldn't bother with such a small item, but I was wrong.I love Amazon.com, and usually check there first before looking for an item. I just didn't think they would carry wide jar lids.Next time I'll go straight to Amazon when I need anything.

Just what I needed .. arrived in perfect shape ! I completed all my canning and have stored up for the winter !
