Ball 40014 16 oz plain drinking mug, single.

This is my first review ever. Received a dozen of these mugs as a gift and they do not have the name Ball on them and most importantly do have the following on the bottom " NOT FOR HOT PRODUCTS" and "not for home canning" I saw no warning to this effect on the advertising and product description and users could be seriously injured if using the mugs for coffee or tea. The Goodmans employee I first spoke to told me she knew of this and that many of their customers order the mugs " for hot chocolate".

We've had a set of pint Mason jars with handles for many years. I broke one and another got chipped on the lip. The others are getting scratched and hazy looking from daily use and washing in the dishwasher. I finally decided to replace them and found these.

My only reservation on these is the statement on them that says "Not for hot liquids". I first thot these would not be suitable for hot coffee but compared to our existing mugs which say "Not for canning" I decided to test one for our normal coffee temperature of 140° F. I heated a cup of water to that temp in the microwave and poured it into a new mug. No problem.

We've been using them for several weeks and have had no problems. No cracks!

My order arrived promptly and in perfect shape. It was exactly what I wanted and I will order a few more of these. L can always depend on Amazon.
