5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Group
I have not only seen this group do wonderful performances live, but their CD is also great. It is rich in vocal harmony, with funky bass, and a great "city" feel to their music. The vocal percussionist in this group does a wonderful job. From listening to their CD, and seeing their performances, this group definitely is worth checking out!

3.0 out of 5 stars Eh...
Of BitH's albums, this is the one I play the least, as none of the tracks really appeal to me. "Helen" is the standout, although the sweet "Ask" and the sexy "Get it On" are also noteworthy. I don't like the faster version of "Crawlin';" why the group felt they needed to re-record this song is beyond me, as the first take was pretty darn perfect. "Gravity Buster" is just...

5.0 out of 5 stars Mega Excellent Wicked Awesome!, January 25, 2000

This is a "mega excellent wicked awesome" cd (as they say in Boston). This group of 6 guys from Boston has a sound that can't be matched. All songs that appear on the cd were written by the guys of the group, which is an amazing feat rarely seen in popular music. The cd is also entirely a cappella, no backup bands here. Not that the backup is missed, the group rounds out their sound with an incredible vocal percussionist and a phenomenal bass vocal singer. I absolutely love this cd!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome group, awesome CD, August 18, 2001
This review is from: Ball in the House (Audio CD)
BITH came to my high school, I caught one of their shows at Brandeis University, and I've seen them at Club Passim in Cambrdige, MA. They are an awesome group! Their vocal percussionist is incredible. Until the vocal percussionist did some demonstrations up close and personal at my school, I was still unconvinced that they weren't somehow cheating with a taped drum. The bass vocalist is awesome too, very very low. The guys themselves are very friendly and obviously love singing. I can't recommend this CD enough. If you like this CD, you'll love their first CD, Love Drug, which in my opinon had even more energy and depth.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW, February 23, 2001

This group is so cool. They came to my school to perform and let a guy come up on stage and sing with them. It was awesome! It took them all about two measure to hear what he was doing and figure out drum beat, bass line, and all the other parts! I just have to say that they are all incredible musicians and their CD rocks!

I don't like the faster version of "Crawlin';" why the group felt they needed to re-record this song is beyond me, as the first take was pretty darn perfect. "Gravity Buster" is just silly, as is the hidden track at the end of the CD (which, I understand, was intended for the "Muppets in Space" movie).

This CD is one that you'll play forever. From the fun, jumpy sounds of "Gravity Buster", to the beautiful ballads "Try" and "Ask". After listening to this CD, buy the first and third, you won't be sorry...I Promise!

5.0 out of 5 stars 6 guys. 6 mouths. that's it., September 8, 2001

What a great CD! From their slow, melodical ballads to their rockin' fast jams, these six guys are onto something. The fact that they use no instruments whatsoever amazes me to this day, and their songwriting capabilities blow me away. I have seen them perform live and they are just as phenominal. Anyone who does not buy this CD is missing out on something special.

BitH is an extremely talented group of really great guys. There will be no stopping this group from stardom. They write their own music and have no band to hide behind. Their talent shines. Don't miss seeing them if you get the chance!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Capella for all ages, October 25, 2000

I absolutely LOVE BiTH. They have a unique sound to them and the best part is that they use only their voices. No back up or anything. Like they say "Six guys, six mouths, that's it". The talented part about them is that they write their own music. It's amazing how they put everything together. It takes a lot of patience and coordination. They perform beautifully on stage and it gets the crowd going. The best songs on this CD are Helen becuase Mike (the bass) sings it and his voice is absolutely mesmerizing, Home because it just sounds really nice. I've met these guys and they are awesome and they really care about their fans. They're trying to make it and share their love of music...especially a capella which is often overlooked. Two thumbs up! Something for everyone to enjoy!
