Iron Butterfly were innovators of a musical style that really had no other band to compare them with, essentially a band that combined heavy bass, organ and guitar sounds with lighter pop sounds. There are a number of gems on this record with In the Crowds, Filled With Fear, It Must Be Love being the standouts.

an amazing album which is always in the top slot of my record collection. if you like groovy doomy psychedelia you'll dig this. a soulful voice and intriguing/masterful interplay between the organ and electric guitar. their use of stereo effects is also great.
