My pickles are so crisp they snap when you bite into them.

It also worked great for keeping my pickled zucchini, beans and peppers more crisp than usual, just follow the same directions.

Pickle crisp made my pickles crispier than any I have ever bought in the stores!

I made some pickled peppers recently with red onions and jalapenos. The jar that went directly in the fridge after pouring the brine over it came out incredibly crispy.
The jars that were processed weren't as crispy, but they still are crisper than normal processed peppers. I'm very happy with the results.
It only takes a tiny amount per jar to work well.

I have been canning for years and recently have seen recipes calling for this product, I was unsure at first about adding it but to my surprise it does what is says. My pickles this year were more crisp than the years without it, still not as crunchy as a cold pack refrigerator style, but for hot water canning pickle recipes, it does a great job. I will be sure to use it every year from now on. It also worked great for keeping my pickled zucchini, beans and peppers more crisp than usual, just follow the same directions.

First time I have used Pickle Crisp. It worked exceptionally well for refrigerated
pickles but the processed pickles werent as crunchy as I would have liked. But

This thing does 100 quarts, which is a lot of canned goods, probably more than all but the most extreme canners will do in a year.

It's cheap, it's effective, and it's almost mandatory for perfectly pickled goods.

Last year was my first year making pickles. I was so excited, but then I opened my first jar and suddenly faced the disappointment of super-limp pickles. Gross. I ended up throwing quite a few of them out this year as I prepared to make another (new recipe) batch of pickles because no one would eat them. This year I was bound and determined to have more edible (what a goal, right?!) and crunchier pickles. My sister-in-law suggested using pickle crisp, and Amazon actually had it in stock (it's seems to be so popular that the stores around here couldn't keep it on the shelves).

This year's pickles are exactly as promised; crisp!

Like I said, this was a new recipe... so the following can be taken with a grain of salt (pun totally intended). My pickles seem to be getting saltier and saltier. I have no idea if it's the recipe itself or if it has to do with the addition of the pickle crisp. My hope is to next year adjust down the salt and achieve pickle perfection; I will not give up crispness just because it's a bit too salty.

This really makes a big difference when making pickles. They come out crisper and seem to be greener. Calcium chloride has no down side to it.

Worked really well - great flavor. I do think it was a LITTLE too salty - you might want to adjust the amount of liquid slightly.

If you are making home made pickles, this is a must! Keeps your pickles from getting mushy and keeps them crisp.
