These jars are great for freezing baby food! They won't break and they are safer that plastic, with no toxic chemicals to leach into the food.

We purchased these 4oz jars to store homemade baby food. We wanted to use glass jars instead of plastic, as we have concerns about leaching. Yes...we are those people. The only issue we found is that the traditional canning lids contain BPA. We purchased Tattler Reusable Regular Canning Lids which fit perfectly. Problem solved. I love the size of these jars. They are easy to clean and they can be placed in the freezer.

Great size for giving small gifts of jelly to co-workers and friends. Cute container and seems sturdy enough.

Great product. 4 oz jelly jars are hard to find at retail stores. Great for freezing breast milk in small amounts.

I purchased these jars for making my own baby food. I did not want to use plastic containers because of the chemicals and they trap bacteria. I was looking for small glass jars and I did not want to purchase baby food just for the jars like so many of my friends did.

These were PERFECT. They freeze, fit in my 'First Years' bottle warmer and microwave. They close tight and keep the food fresh. I would highly recommend these jars to any and all moms who want to make their own food.

I didn't order these jars to use for putting my jams/jellies in, to me they are a waste to use for that unless I am making small jars to use as gifts since they don't hold enough to use more than 4-5 times. I got them to use as spice jars since I have to keep my spices in the small drawer (so I can reach them from my wheelchair) instead of in an upper cupboard which is too high for me to see more than just the front row of spices. I painted the lids with chalkboard paint and the rings were spraypainted to match the rest of my kitchen decor. I write the name of the spice on the lid with chalk, but I don't have to repaint the lid if I use a different spice in the jar after it is empty, I just erase the chalk and write the new name on the lid.

The glass is rated for freezing which makes it ideal for baby food. Never liked the idea of freezing baby food in plastic providing less of a seal between the food and the freezer environment.
