Great Intro to the Commercial Greenhouse Industry, July 9, 2002
This review is from: Ball Redbook: Greenhouse Growing (Ball Redbook, 16th ed) (Hardcover)
If anyone out there is curious about how commercial greenhouses operate, this book is it! It was suggested to me by someone in a professional gardening web forum.
I was looking for a book that would show me how the big boys do it. Heating, Cooling, Media, Fertilizer, etc.. It was like I got a tour of some of the top greenhouses in the world and had someone take notes! And at 800 pages, this is a bargain considering all the info in it. And I love all the tables, charts, and formulas. I will be able to use these as I start my own commercial greenhouse.
The 2nd half of the book is dedicated to 137 different crops, and how to grow each in a greenhouse environment.
