The Background of Darkover and the Hasturs, March 19, 2011
This review is from: The Ballad of Hastur and Cassilda (Darkover) (Kindle Edition)

Why don't you read it? It's cheap. It's short. And it will answer forever all your questions about Hastur, Cassilda, and Camilla.
As MZB is careful to explain, that doesn't mean that this or any other version is the exact truth. But why go on wondering. . . except. . . why didn't Camilla think to give Hastur a starflower? You know what a starflower is. At least, if you read MZB you do.
But . . . uh . . . the name Hastur first turns up in Scotland, thousands of years before and billions of light years away from Darkover. If you read Darkover Landfall, and if you didn't why not?, you know where a lot of the colonists came from.
Go on, push the little button and buy it.
