Yahzarah's new album is a fantastic blend of soulful tones, banging beats and thoughtful artistry. The Ballad of Purple St. James has something for everyone and that something is dayum good! Live instrumentation, strong vocals and real life stories underpin this wonderful project and I expect this to be Yahzarah's breakout album. THE GAME IS NOT READY!!

Excellent cd. I saw this sista at Blues Alley performing some of these songs and was amazed. It is in heavy rotation in my mp3 player.

This is Yahzarah's best work to date. Soulful and fresh. Very much rooted in the old school yet forward-thinking at the same time. I remain a fan.
