Songs & Ballads of the Bituminous Miners,
By Harold Kniceley "Miner's son" (Centreville, Maryland United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Songs & Ballads of the Bituminous Miners (Audio CD)
I felt that the CD was done well and the songs were appropriate. Being from the bituminous coal fields, I feel that the songs reflect the sentiments of the coal miners and their families, dealing with issues that face
all who go under ground to eke out a living. The plaintive sounds produced are born of experience in the mines and I feel that no one can express those feelings as well as the miners themselves. |
