THIS LOOKS AND SOUNDS LIKE A CAREER SPANNING COMPILATION ON BLUE NOTE RATHER THAN FRESH RECORDINGS. LAZY AFTERNOON IS FROM THAT BASRA SESSION UNDER DRUMMER PETE LA ROCA'S NAME. GOOD STUFF, BUT YOU MAY HAVE ALOT OF IT ALREADY. YEAH,THAT'S KENNY DORHAM IN THE BACKGROUND ON THE OPENING OF LA MESHA - ASK ME NOW, SOULVILLE & PORTRAIT- ARE FROM- STATE OF THE TENOR- LIVE AT THE VILLAGE VANGUARD.
