5.0 out of 5 stars Fine description of air war with minimum progandizing, January 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Condor Legion (Ballantine's illustrated history of the violent century. Weapons book no. 35) (Paperback)
Although the author was involved with the Republican cause, my impression is that CONDOR LEGION was written more in the nuetral historical style of Hugh Thomas's THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR. The average light reader will find the book less daunting than Thomas's fine but very detailed work which appeals more to the very patient and very serious student of the war. It is a worthwhile supplement to a an historian's collection of books on the war.
