I bought this for my 9 year old son as party favors for his birthday. I had read a review in consumer reports recommending this toy so I bought the kits and made this the theme of the party. The kids were making animals in minutes, we had some adults learn first, and had a blast. There are some very easy animals, like the dog, and very difficult animals, like the Teddy Bear. The Teddy Bear is one of the coolest balloon animals you can make, although very difficult to master. Overall, this a wonderful product and would strongly recommend it.

This is a beginners book. If you are new to making balloon animals you will like this; if you are not new to this skill, then this book will not give you any new information.

The instructions are easy to follow, and there are planty of photgraphs of each step, so if you mnake a mistake it's easy to backtrack and correct it.

The book comes with a small supply of balloons and a small hand pump - these skinny, little balloons are VERY hard to blow up using just your lungs!

I and my grandson bought this book together. We both loved it. He used the animals as his talent at a talent show and I have used them as decorations and entertainment for senior citizens and for garden club. Very simple and informative instructions. Interesting and easy to learn.

I gave this book to my 8-year-old niece for Christmas this year. She immediately started reading it and working her way through the directions. Before long, she had completed her first balloon animal! (a dog) Over the next couple of hours, she also completed examples of a giraffe, mouse, bunny, elephant, dinosaur, octopus, and two lovebirds sitting in a heart. She declared this gift to be a MUCH better one than the expensive video games and such that her best friend had received for Christmas.

The next day, we went shopping for more balloons, as she had already nearly exhausted the supply of 20 that came with the book. She bought 4 additional packages of balloons (for a total of 96), which should last her about a week at the rate she's going right now!

We found the book to be an excellent introduction to balloon twisting. The only possible downside is that using the small included hand pump can get tiring (though it didn't seem to bother my niece much at all). However, considering that this is just intended to be an introduction to the craft (and certainly not for professionals), I don't see this as a very significant drawback.

Now, if I could just get her to let ME have a balloon so I can give it a try!

As a new enthusiastic in the field of balloon twisting I can honestly say that it is an excellent book. It is very easy to follow the instructions and the results are very pleasing. After a very short while you remember the instructions and no longer need to book near you. Don't mind the pump and 10 balloons, go and get a better pump for a few dollars and a package of 100 balloons because it is so much fun!

I found this book easy to read and follow, but the pump that is included didn't work very well at all. This book should have had a section on flowers and hats to be more complete.

Easy to follow instructions and kids love it. You will soon find yourself buying lots of additional balloons to make more animals.

This book is a great introduction to the art of making balloon animals. You get enought of a supply to learn several animals within a matter of hours... I'm practicing for my niece's fourth birthday party in a couple of weeks. The true test will be what the kids think! Now that I know the basics, I may be able to come up with a few of my own that are not even in the book!

I found this to be a very good introduction to balloontwisting. I was making animals within minutes.

If you just want to try balloon sculpture to see how you like it this is a good intro. But that's all it is. The 20 balloons with the book seem to have negligible value.

I bought this book on a whim so I could learn to make animals for my grandkids. The book was very good and taught step by step instructions with photos to help you see what it should look like. I recommend this book for anyone just starting out.
