I know UFO has been known to publish horrible budget games for the Wii (I'm looking at you, ANUBIS 2!). But don't let this stop you from checking out BALLOON POP! I was pleasantly surprised by this game. It's a variation on the old "match 3 of the same color" puzzle type game but it does things right. It's easy to learn and the game is simple. Wait until you get to higher levels where the action gets frantic! The Wii remote was made for this type of game as you cascade the pointer over all the different balloons. Two player versus mode is a welcome addition and adds value and longevity to the game. Colorful graphics and bouncy music round out the package. Worth your twenty bones!

Balloon Pop on the Wii is just downright not-fun. I bought it because it was cheap and I thought maybe it would be really addictive hours-upon-hours of fun. Unfortunately, it was just cheap and you really do get what you pay for.

One annoying part was that the controls are really imperfect. I also didn't end up liking the Wii remote's use in this game. My arm got really sore & dead-armed quickly. I would have much preferred the option to use the remote sideways. The Wii remote response time seemed really slow too. I think the sideways method would have been quicker-responding.

My wife and I were really hoping to love the 2-Player Battle mode. One problem though, the battles are over much too quickly. We much preferred the battles in Octomania.

Overall, Balloon Pop is a baaaaad one-trick pony and it's not even worth 20 bucks, which I didn't think was possible.

this game is truly awful. definitely the worst wii game i've played as of yet.

pros: fun graphics and oddball animal characters
cons: fundamentally broken

your first time playing, you will end up finishing the game at least once, maybe several times over. it just goes on and on with no real challenge. the controls are sticky and imprecise. it seems fun at first, but soon becomes monotonous. basically, the graphics and gameplay are exactly like a free flash game, except nowhere near as good. bejewelled is fun and free, but this is $20 and horrible. save your money - try puzzle quest instead.

I bought this game for myself because it was cheap. I spent 13.00 so, for the money I was confident that even if I didn't like the game, the loss would be survivable. I just put the game in the Wii about an hour ago, and when I first started playing the game I quit almost immediately because I thought it was really lame. I was about to take the game out and write it up as a loss, but thought I would give it one more chance before I went to bed, and it was really worth the 2nd look! I discovered that the reason I initially thought the game was lame is because I really didn't know how to play, but once you figure how to play the game is very addictive! Here's the deal: If you like Bejeweled you will more than likely really like this game. But, no matter what game you are thinking about buying you should read the reviews, and you should read reviews from other websites besides this one. I also go to Youtube to see the game play for myself.

Once you have done your homework you can make an informed decision, and sometimes you strike gold and sometimes you just hit pay dirt. Think of it like this..... How many times have you decided to see a movie after the critics slammed the film and said "don't waste your money" but, when you saw the film you loved it? Opinions are subjective. Games are only good for those who like that particular kind of game, but if the game is not really your "thing" then you will not be very happy with your investment.

Decide for yourself!!! Only YOU know what you like.

This is a nice little puzzle game in the same vein as Bejeweled. It took a bit to get the hang of how to move the balloons around (I was used to similar online games that had different gameplay). I prefer the straight puzzle mode to the story mode.

When I saw this game, I taught it's going to be perfect for the kids (6y). But I made mistake. It's very hard for adults, and you can't imagine how hard it's for the kids. Very simple with two different games. The only one level keeps kids attention for 2min. Not worth of the money.

not like ballon pop on pogo but still fun. its sort of like tetris. also has a mode that is more a puzzle solveing game do this in so many moves type

I bought this game for my daughter who played it once. We have given the game a few chances, hoping to possibly find some fun in it but to no avail. I paid very little for the game but it was still wasteful. :(

I love Tetris so I thought this would be a fun game. I enjoy it quite well. It defaults to using the remote in the sideways position, so I don't know why someone else says you can't use it that way. The instructions tell you you can use it either way. Just use the 2 button to switch between the 2. It took a little time to figure out how to move the pieces, as the instructions could be a little clearer. You have to press and hold the 1 or 2 to select the piece you want to move, then use the arrow button to move it the direction you want to move it. I don't think the instructions say you have to continue holding the 1 or 2 button. As you get close to losing, the speed of the game picks up. It slows back down when you clear out some more of the balloons. The speed increase makes the game more challenging. I haven't tried it pointing the remote at the screen. Prefer the sideways method. The puzzle mode is okay. Some very easy, some harder. Like the game mode better.

I thought this would be more like the pop-it game, but it isn't and it is kind of boring.
