Some useful historical info, but effect lost due to probably worst set of photos of any similar publication: cheap, virtually indistinquishable USGS and Russian photos from outer space, the "on the ground" photos are grainy and blurred and the park diagrams are nothing to write home about either.

The data in this book is simply not reliable -- the diagrams are often inaccurate, as are many of the listed "facts". When the first edition of this book came out, the author promoted it on the SABR e-mail list. At that point, I asked him about his research and calculation methods, but he evaded the questions. Most ballpark books are inconsistent in their accuracy, and this one is no exception. But since it's presented as a serious research tool, and bears the respected name of STATS Inc., we really deserve much better.
