This review is from: Ballparks of the Deadball Era: A Comprehensive Study of Their Dimensions, Configurations and Effects on Batting, 1901-1919 (Kindle Edition)
If you are looking for anecdotal stores about the old ballparks, don't get this book. However, if you are curious about the configurations and conditions of what the deadball era ballparks were like, this is an interesting read. Written almost like a lab report, the author goes into deep statistical detail for each ball park, the dimensions and offensive ratings for each one. he also delves into the reasons why many ballparks were configured the way they were. if you are a statistical geek, you will be in hog heaven.
