We held a Girl Scout event and used this plane activity for the girls to put the plane together, decorate it and fly it off the 2nd floor at the Museum and they work!

These gliders are impressive in their gliding (toss gently!)

This product proved to be a great deal at a cost of 62 cents per plane! All the kids in our neighborhood spend numerous days coloring and flying their planes. It reminded me of my childhood.

The actual plane is a bit smaller than I expected. Also plain balsa, no graphics on it.

No graphics, under 6.5 inches long but it flies and my kids love them (for as long as they last)! Not bad but they need to update the photo.

We held a Girl Scout event and used this plane activity for the girls to put the plane together, decorate it and fly it off the 2nd floor at the Museum and they work! The girls really enjoyed this activity. We had about 80 girls do this and the plane held up well.

I bought a box of these for a class of first graders, and
they work very well.

The directions are less than stellar (just implicit printing
on each packet), but they fly well and are easily adjusted.

(No death spirals -- did the previous reviewer put the main
wing in upside-down?)

My son was hoping to find the planes from his childhood. These are small with no "markings". I wish they had been a little larger, but for the price, the grandkids are having fun.

I bought these for a bunch of preschoolers to decorate and then fly. The balsa wood takes paint and crayons really well. However, they did not stand up to the flight goals of the little people...actually they did not stand up very well to the assembly goals of the little people. Would probably be great for older kids, or even grown-ups...they really fly well and are so much fun! Just choose the target audience carefully.

This is a good project for under 6 years of age, because they can color and glue the planes together. They are about 1/2 the size of the gliders we used to get back in the day. I bought them to toss off a bridge and about half of them fly, half of them nose dive. They have to be glued to fly otherwise the incredibly cheap and irregularly cut balsa tail just falls off. These really are worth no more than 50 cents in my estimate, overpriced at 1.00 each but that includes the crayons and glue.
