Stable, functional cart, AC Cord does NOT come with purchase!,

We got this cart for our school. It has an Epson PowerLite 77c 2200 Lumen Multimedia Projector on the top, a Samsung DVD-VR357 Tunerless DVD Recorder and VCR Combo (no tuner) an Altec Lansing FX4021 2.1 Powered Audio Speaker System, and an old mid-2004 iBook G4 1.2 GHz/640 MB RAM. With a Logitech Cordless Desktop - Black keyboard/mouse combo. If you don't want to shell out for a laptop, a basic Apple Mac mini MB138LL/A (1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, Combo Drive) costs less than $600 and takes up not more than about 6x6x3". With its Front Row remote control for multi-media on the computer and the necessary APPLE M8754G/A DVI to VGA Display Adapter your school could have a pretty decent cart for under $1500!Overall I am quite satisfied with the cart. The only thing that bugs me is that it is advertised as having the electrical cord included. This costs a ridiculous $30+ to buy on its own. The price here was lowest so I thought I got a deal, but alas, the cord does not come with the cart (or it didn't with ours). We just attached a power strip to the cart. The Balt custom accessory would look nicer and be tidier, but we got the cart for a decent price, so I am not complaining too much. Pluses: The cart is stable Made of sturdy materials (pressboard shelves have steel insets to attach the metal shelving. This means low risk of damaging the holes during assembly). Has eight holes for accessories on both sides of the cart The keyboard tray can be raised or lowered from the top for standing height to about 1 foot off the ground (for "sitting on the ground" laptop use height?). Holes for wires and side tracks that can be useful for hiding wires. Very easy to assemble. Minuses: Cart does not come with 25' cord as advertised! The cart is not wide enough to hold a standard DVD-Player on the inner shelves. (We put it on the tray and set the laptop on that). The laptop tray is an inviting "handle" for moving the cart, but can be easily lifted off by accident. To hold down the equipment I bought some simple $5.00 cargo straps from Menards which sure beat the $30+ "safety belts" sold by AV vendors.

This review is from: Balt Presentation Cart for Laptop, LCD, Projector (Office Product)
It is a good overall media presentation tool. Great for our setup which includes a Laptop, Projector, and Speakers. This cart would be a five star if it came with the power strip included.
