4.0 out of 5 stars A Ravens Fan's Dream (Games Only...No Fluff)
This 4 disk set includes the Complete CBS TV Broadcasts of the Ravens Playoff run. The Denver, Oakland and Giants games are announced by Phil Simms and Greg Gumble. The Tennessee game has Dick Enberg and Dan Deirdorf at the mike.

3.0 out of 5 stars Best Defense EVER!!!!!
As a die hard Ravens fan, it was fun to relive these games from their Super Bowl XXXV run.

I was really hoping to be able to replace my video tapes of the original games, but I won't be able to because they didn't include the presentation of the LaMarr Hunt Trophy after the AFC Title Game. They also didn't include the dramatic introduction of the Ravens...

4.0 out of 5 stars A Ravens Fan's Dream (Games Only...No Fluff), January 10, 2008

This review is from: Baltimore Ravens 2000 Playoffs: NFL Greatest Games (DVD)
This 4 disk set includes the Complete CBS TV Broadcasts of the Ravens Playoff run. The Denver, Oakland and Giants games are announced by Phil Simms and Greg Gumble. The Tennessee game has Dick Enberg and Dan Deirdorf at the mike.

The picture quality is very good. There are no commercials, no pre-game (only coin tosses), no player intros, no halftime, nor post-game coverage. There are no Special Features or extras of any kind.

It's the games, the whole games, and nothing but the games.

When you hit the skip button on your DVD remote, it takes you to the beginning of the next quarter. The root menu simply gives you the choice of the quarters. There are 4 disks. Each disk contains one game.

I can't go 5 stars because I'd like to have seen some features. It would have been nice to see Press Conference outtakes or some post game, and/or halftime analysis...something!

It is great to watch these games again! I's great watch the historic Ravens Defense in it's prime. Any real Baltimore fan will love this set!

4.0 out of 5 stars Ravens History, August 7, 2008
This review is from: Baltimore Ravens 2000 Playoffs: NFL Greatest Games (DVD)
The DVD's worked fine, but I also ran into a labeling issue with disc 4. It was the same as disc 3, but had the Superbowl 35 label on it. Other than that though, the discs are awesome. It is great to see the full broadcast of those games. Any die-hard Ravens fan will definitely want to grab this set.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential, for us Ravens fans anyway., June 27, 2008
This review is from: Baltimore Ravens 2000 Playoffs: NFL Greatest Games (DVD)
If you're a Ravens fan this is, plain and simple, essential. Yeah, the TV coverage was more comprehensive, but your VHS tapes aren't this clear either. Buy it. And if you're a Steelers fan, get lost.

5.0 out of 5 stars Check Carefully, February 13, 2008
This review is from: Baltimore Ravens 2000 Playoffs: NFL Greatest Games (DVD)
I'm a Ravens fan so I love this DVD. However, the first one I ordered had to be returned because one of the disks was flawed and wouldn't play. On the the replacement, two disks in the four-disk set are mis-labeled but they all play fine. Overall, I would give the DVD a five-star rating because they are the full-game telecasts of the team's four playoff games in 2000 and it's hard to mess that up. But, the company handling the duplications and labeling should be more careful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Baltimore Ravens 2000 Season - Playoffs Vs. Steve McNair!, February 8, 2008

Pretty cool playoff game against Tennesee, with Raven's Trent Dilfer vs. the Titan's Steve McNair, Derrick Mason, and Samari Rolle. The Ravens somewhat "playing their future selves." Nice game. The other two playoff games were terrific, and the Superbowl was won by the Ravens. I rememeber this run, with sportscasters putting the Ravens as underdogs every week.

They also didn't include the dramatic introduction of the Ravens defense in the Super Bowl, or the presentation of the Lombardi Trophy.

There are also no features. It would've been cool to include a fifth disc with the 90 minute NFL Films highlight film.

Essentially, if you're a Ravens fan, and you already have these games on tape like I do, save yourself the money and just burn them onto DVDs. If not, it's a nice purchase.

If you love the Ravens and their 2000-2001 Super Bowl run, and you didn't record the TV games at the time ..... This is what you have been looking for!!!! Only took a few days to receive after I ordered it by ordinary shipping from Amazon.
After watching the games you can see why dropping Trent Dilfer was a mistake, how valuable Shannon Sharpe was in clutch situations, and how losing Jamal Lewis the next season was so devastating.

4.0 out of 5 stars great thrill reliving ravens super bowl run, December 12, 2008

The editing of these games are great, but I was a little disapointed that there was no super bowl post game celebration, interviews or trophy presentation. It's still worth the money. I recomend this to any raven fan.

4.0 out of 5 stars ravens review, March 9, 2009
This review is from: Baltimore Ravens 2000 Playoffs: NFL Greatest Games (DVD)
this dvd includes all 3 playoff games(vs broncos at titans at raiders) plus superbowl 35(vs giants) in their entirety it's a pretty good buy the only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of these games arent really the most exciting games to watch

game 1: wildcard playoff game vs broncos(12/31/00) the ravens dominated this game holding denver to only a field goal and the defense dominated as usual holding qb gus frerrote do only 13 completions out of 28 attempts...shannon sharpe also had a nice reception in this game for a td.

game 2:divisional playoff game at titans(1/7/01) statistically the titans dominated this game till the 4th quater when 2 fluke plays led to 2 ravens touchdowns to lead the ravens to victory

game 3:afc championship at raiders(1/14/01) this game is actually quite boring other than shannon sharpe's 96 yard td reception there really wasn't any excitment to this game in fact sharpe's td was the only td scored in this entire game.

game 4:superbowl 35 vs giants(1/28/01) ravens win 34-7 with the giants only score being a kickoff return for a td the ravens d intercepted giants quaterback kerry collins 4 times.
