Despite this book having been written some time ago, the information is still apt. I had no idea that bamboo was so versatile, or that there was so much to learn about this amazing grass. While I am not a grower, I see this book as being invaluable for those interested in growing bamboo, especially in Australia. Mr Durnford Dart is truly and expert on his topic, and continues his love affair with bamboo on his wonderful property in the Hinterland of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.The list on the back cover of the different items that can be made with bamboo should stimulate any reader to explore further this grass. Anyone interested in protecting our environment should also find much information in this book and on his website to create further research. |
