Bamboo Quick Control Harness with Built-In Leash is an excellent product. Strong and durable, ready for even the most rambunctious of puppies. I was pleasantly surprised at the sturdiness of this harness. I own large powerful dogs, and not very many products are able to stand up to the abuse my dogs put them through, but this Bamboo harness has been up to the task so far.

I've purchased both the medium & extra-large Bamboo harness for my assorted dogs because one has a neck issue & the other can get out of a standard collar. These harnesses are well made and substantial - not like the flimsy harnesses that are sold for the same price at local discount/pet stores.
I have used the pull out leash sparingly on the extra-large model, and it has held, but would not think to use it as a leash since I'd have to hunch over to walk the dog. Instead, I hook my lead onto the metal rung on the back of the harness.
If you are looking for a nice harness for a great price, you won't be disappointed with the Bamboo brand.

This is a very well made harness...holds back a 80 lb. German Shepherd/Great Dane mix with ease. Reflective stitching is a plus and built-in leash comes in handy when you're in need of quick and close restraint. Only thing to look out for is the sizing. It seems to run a bit small - if you order larger you can always adjust it smaller, not so much the other way!

We have two great danes. This is what he uses to walk them when they need to be on a leash. They loose their minds when they see the harnesses. O.K. so the dogs and my husband love this harness.

This harness helps keep my black lab in check. He's very strong and when he gets on a scent he can be hard to hold back, but I am very happy to say that this harness has held up. My vet loved it too.

UPDATE 2011 - ONE OF THE BEST MADE HARNESSES I'VE EVER FOUND in terms of construction quality, durability, and appearance (BUT FOR THE PULL OUT - in my opinion).

This is a good decent product as synthetic dog collars and harnesses go. The unique feature of the quick control handle is really stupid and in a real emergency situation, I am sure it will break (well, pretty sure and I would hate to find out the hard way). Anyway, I suspect the design/construction flaw with that one feature is the reason for the low sale price.

That said, however, the construction of the Harness and matching Collars (I bought both) are above average and for the sale price it is a great bargain/deal .... so long as you don't want to count on the pull out handle as being a reliable sturdy feature.

Good quality harness works well with the matching Bamboo leash. Securely holds my 80lb dog. Easy to get on and off. I walk the dog at night and reflective strips work well.

I have always used this harness on my 140 lbs rotty. Easy to put on him, from around the neck to clipping the side harness. The quick control is handy when trying to navigate him around tight spots, such as around other dogs. It is very sturdy and just easy to handle. Highly recommend this Bamboo harness especially those with big dogs. And by the way, Sam loves it too because when I put it on him, he knows it walking time.

I take my dogs several miles daily and I have used collars, chokers, and a different brand of harness. This is a really great product and the dogs seem more relaxed and easier to control. If you want a quality product I highly recommend this Bamboo Harness. I recieved great service from this seller and have recommended this to friends already.

I bought this harmess to go with my doggie seatbelts/leash that is also from Bamboo. They are both very nice and good quality. I wish they did have the harness in small though as this one was a little large on my very large Boston Terrier. The seat belts are great!!!! I'll never travel again without them.
