Awesome African Soucous Music, May 12, 2001
This review is from: Bameli Soy (Audio CD)
This disk is pure African soucous. The sweet voice of M'bilia Bel combined with the guitar playing of Ringo is indeed a pleasure to the ears. These upbeat rhythms take me back to some of my favorite memories of Africa.

African music is not known or i should say little known in the US... this Woman takes me way back in my childhood...My dad had all of her songs...her voice is suave, sweet and mesmerizing..yet she can move in the most effortless way..she is just a great artist.thanks Amazon for promoting African music....it's really hard for some of us here in the USA to obtain music from back home...... i'll buy this CD. i was looking for it!

Bameli Soy by M'bilia Bel, June 7, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Bameli Soy (Audio CD)
Perhaps one of the less than a hand full of African female singers ever. She is just superb. Is it possible to listen to samples of her other CD's? If that is possible, I'll probably buy one of each of all of them. SHE IS G-R-E-A-T. I have always enjoyed her music from my native Liberia. /s/ R. G. Evans
