5.0 out of 5 stars Good CD
This was a pretty good cd. I have to say though, it wasnt as good as their previous CD, because the lyrics weren't nearly as deep (although they did have a few serious songs on this album, it was more just funny and messing around). This definately was their last REALLY good album though....after Conrad left, they lost alot of their musical talent as he was pretty much...

3.0 out of 5 stars OK
This is one of those basic albums that has nothing real intricate or impressive but is fun to listen to. The lyrics are shallow, but they are supposed to be that way. You should buy this cd, but don't expect anything great musically.

This was a pretty good cd. I have to say though, it wasnt as good as their previous CD, because the lyrics weren't nearly as deep (although they did have a few serious songs on this album, it was more just funny and messing around). This definately was their last REALLY good album though....after Conrad left, they lost alot of their musical talent as he was pretty much their main music writer and lyric writer. Notice they did a cover CD after he left because they weren't all that good of songwriters wihtout him. ANYWAYS, this is a good, happy, fun punk CD, and Ghoti Hook is a great band....even in their later CDs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Insane music -- the entire time!, April 26, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Banana Man (Audio CD)
Unlike some other CD's this one is upbeat and just crazy the entire time through instead of just the first few songs. Unlike some other bands in their genre, Ghoti Hook focuses on positive ideas and isn't depressing or anything like that. While their music doesn't say "God" everyother word, they do mention God and their churches and such in the thanks section and you definately sense their spirtuality in their lyrics.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good 'ol Ghoti Hook., February 22, 2000

In Ghoti Hook's sophomore release they put out another zany, energy filled, Punk Rock funfest. Granted, this is not their best work, but it is still very fun to listen to. Another thing, I know Ghoti Hook's lyrics are anything but serious, but that is part of thier style that I like so much. If they were to turn into another serious Punk band I would be angry. I mean there are tons awesome serious Punk bands out there that I love. But Ghoti Hook's uniquely hilarious style of music has it's place in the industry. I mean, think about it....is there any other band like Ghoti Hook? Simply answered, no there isn't.

This review is from: Banana Man (Audio CD)
Great punk music. Sounds kewl. Thats Combat Chuck on the cover. (See the Five Iron Frenzy track on the Upbeats And Beatdowns album).

The best bands are Five Iron Frenzy, The W's, MxPx, Squad Five-o, and the Insyderz.

its good music, but the lyrics and the way they sing is annoying. I also dont understand all these "the box" songs that they put in there, and why they have that spanish thing for track 10

4.0 out of 5 stars They're better live!, August 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Banana Man (Audio CD)
This album was very enjoyable...but like I've said...they're better live! I met Christian, the bass player, at one of their concerts and he was so cool! I know that this isn't their best stuff, but once I got to listening to it more...the more I liked it. You've got to pick up this album, if not for hear the music, to see Combat Chuck dressed as "Banana Man". Combat Chuck rocks!
