4.0 out of 5 stars Fun with Slugs, March 14, 2001
This review is from: Banana Slug: A Close Look at a Giant Forest Slug of Western North America (Paperback)
I recently read Mrs. Harper's book on the fabulous banana slugs of the Pacific northwest. I have to say that I was pleasently surprised by the amount of information contained in such a little book. I am currently keeping banana slugs in the zoological institution where I work and needed a little extra information on their daily lives to provide the best care for them. This book contained information ranging from their breeding habits to dietary requirements to morphology and everything in between. Alice Harper is definitely the Slug Lady and hopefully we will see a updated edition of this book with even more information in the near future. Still, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone preparing to studying these wonderful yet slimy little creatures.
