The Bananagrams game is incredibly addictive and is a very educational medium for kids 7 years or older. A lot of fun!

In hindsight, I would not have spent the extra $1.00 for the photocopied paper of "100 best anagrams".

When the box came from Amazon, we immediately dumped out the Bananagrams and started playing. By making simpler rules for our first-grader, the whole family could play together, and it was a blast. I'm glad we added this to our game collection.

Bananagrams does not require a score pad (or a Xeroxed sheet of 100 Anagrams). You can buy the game by itself for $13.95 directly from the Bananagrams company, here on Amazon. Don't buy it from these sketchy resellers bundling it with extras you don't need!

Bananagrams is a terrific game but there's no score keeping involved so a pad is unnecessary. The game alone lists for just $14.95 and it's even cheaper on Amazon. Paying for a score pad you won't use doesn't make sense. If you want to put together a gift set, purchase Bananagrams with a current dictionary; it's invaluable when determining whether or not words are acceptable.

If you like Scrabble, you should love this game. It's much faster-paced and there's no board. You use your own tiles to set up your own little crossword puzzle. The banana carrying case is fun and cute, and "bananagrams" is fun to say. My family loves the game. You can play several rounds within a relatively short period of time, which is nice. If you like word games, I highly recommend it!

I recommend this for kids who are just starting to read. Fun for adults also. A game you can play with kids.

I was recommended this game by a friend and love it. I played for hours when I first received. A fast paced version of scrabble, for the quick thinking game type. The packaging is cute and could be a great gift for anyone who likes word/board games.

On a recent vacation with some friends at a cabin we had a couple game nights and one of my friends brought along Bananagrams. The name, the packaging, and some of the playing terms used seemed rather silly so I didn't think I was going to be impressed. But we all really ended up enjoying it.

We'd played Scrabble the night before and I think we all actually enjoyed Bananagrams more because of what another reviewer mentioned, you don't have to sit there waiting forever while another person muddles through their turn. All being able to play at the same time makes for a fun change and also makes it a relatively quick game if you aren't in the mood to play something long and drawn out. We played fairly sedately paced games since we were all new at it, but I can see how if you were to play with a highly competitive bunch it could get rather cutthroat and fast-paced. Another really nice advantage is that it doesn't take up much space so is a perfect game to take along while traveling.

I'm here reviewing the game because I'm ordering some sets for family members as Christmas gifts.

I was surprised at what a good game this was. My mother in law loves scrabble but the whole taking turns thing does hang the game up a lot, so we bought this to test it out as a gift for her this year. I will likely buy about ten of them to give as gifts. It really is a SUPER game and even little kids can play. Great price, great size, great game.

This is a great game for children, adults and mixed parties. The game gets even more interesting when you start making new rules or playing words from specific categories.
