5.0 out of 5 stars Dora On the Spot, August 14, 2006
Can't tell you enough how much we love band-aids at my house.

The trauma of a booboo is instantly offset at the realization that it earns a band-aid. Doesn't matter if the skin is broken. A legit wound earns a couple of band-aids, converging in an 'X.'

I have to buy the boxes two at a time, because one box is always found and turned into a prop, band-aids placed on dolls, band-aids placed on furniture, band-aids placed on stuffed animals "doggy has a stummy ache, he ate 11 watermelons..."
So one box is left carelessly to be discovered, the other hidden slightly more creatively in the event of the need for an actual band-aid. Even at that, I find that I'm running out to buy more all the time.

Gimmicky band-aids, magical placebos for kids, thumbs up, highly recommended, buy one box for utility and one for frivolity.

5.0 out of 5 stars ~*~*~DORA MAKES BOO-BOOS ALL BETTER...AND THEY WORK WELL~*~*~, July 2, 2011
This review is from: Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages, Dora the Explorer Decorated Bandages, 25-Count Bandages (Pack of 8) (Health and Beauty)
I have 2 1/2 year old twin daughters and they have undoubtedly gotten their Daddys clumbsy gene, lol. That means we deal with Boo-Boos at my house ALL the time.

What I would like to know is why none of my "raising kids" books told me how much of a crime it was to try and treat a Boo-Boo with a pain ol'regular band aid. You would have thought I was applying salt & lemon juice to the wound...and in many cases there really was no open wound but my girls would ask for what they call a "Boo-Boo Band-Aid"...many times over and over and over just in case I didn't hear the first 100 times they shouted that at me(I'm kidding...we'll no I'm not, lol)

So I finally spotted these Dora Band-Aids in the store, asked my girls if they wanted Dora Band-Aids for when they get a Boo-Boo and I am pretty sure the entire store heard them shouting with happiness "Dora & Boots Boo-Boo Band-Aids" it was seriously like I told them we were buying them a Dora Doll.

Like another reviewer said, Boo-Boos can be made instantly better with the knowledge they are getting a "Boo-Boo Band-Aid" with Dora & Boots on them. My girls actually WANT me to wash the cut, put medicine & then the bandaid now. And even if the skin isn't broken, if they get a boo-boo and ask for a bandaid, they get one...sometimes Mommys kisses just aren't enough ; ) Before these Dora bandaids they normally wouldn't let me put a bandaid or medicine on their cuts or if they finally did, they would pull them off. They love these so they actually leave them on too or ask for more when they do come off.

These are all cute and there are lots of different designs in the box. They stick well but also come off without pulling and hurting the skin or making it sticky. Make sure you buy more than 1 box because if your kids are like mine, you will go through a LOT of them(plus, if 1 twin gets a bandaid for an actual boo-boo then the other twin of course has to have one too...even a speck of dirt becomes a sudden boo-boo) They might cost a little more than plain band aids but it is SO worth it if it makes my girls Boo-Boos feel better(in their mind) and their cuts can actually heal since they now let me put medicine & bandaid on their cut.
