Our family had a blast and really enjoy playing this game on Christmas. I am soooo glad we got it. It is so funny to see people lining up over which instrument they want to play. Didn't realize that I liked the drums until I started playing them in this game. One of the best gifts under the tree, and it brings us closer together. Priceless.

First off, I would like to point out that the game is completely fun and addictive. There are a lot of oldies and new songs to make the game fun for all ages, while the cgi is fantastic! However, I do have complaints on the system. Turns out that getting the wireless guitar to work is hard, most of the time. My niece gave up and finally used her old wired guitar just to play. What's worse is the wires for the drum set were sticky and peeled off. Thankfully it was a second coating, so there were no exposed wires. She plays her system and enjoys the game, but I would have been more pleased, if the wiring and connections were better.

WARNING!!! The drums and microphone do not work with other guitar hero games. You have to use rock band. Do not make that mistake for your own sanity's sake.

I bought this for my tween daughters after they played Guitar Hero on a friend's Wii. They liked the song list on Band Hero, so we went with the Band Hero Bundle for PS2. We got it for Christmas, and it was almost unplayable because of the way the PS2 loads the songs. We suggested that our kids get a song loaded up, and then do some homework while they waited for it to download. We're talking at least 3-6 minutes to load a song. Once the song loaded, it was a blast. We decided to return it, and take the 50% refund you get from Amazon. It was that painful. Band Hero itself is great -- just not for the PS2 platform.

I LOVE IT I PLAY IT EVERYDAY WITH MY SISTERS I LOVE THE GUITAR THE MOST BUT I KNOW IT CAN CONNECT TO OTHER GAMES BUT MINE DID NOT I DONT KNOW WHY BUT YEA I TRIED IT WITH ROCK BAND DID NOT WORK!!!!!! TRIED IT WITH GUITAR HERO THE SAME COMPANY STILL DID NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE EVERYTHING THAT GOES WITH IT BUT STILL DO NOT BUY ANY OTHER GAMES WHILE BUYING THIS UNLESS YOU GET ANOTHER GUITAR BUT I RATED IT A 5 BECAUSE IT CONNECTS WITH BAND HERO AND WORKS PERFECTLY BUT NOT WITH ANY OTHER GAMES JUST SAYING

I love this got it at walmart for 50 bucks the thing that sucks is they are not making guitar hero anymore they just laid off everyone since it wasn't making any money. But from what i hear rock band is still going strong!

Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. However, the item shipped in its original box and arrived on my porch where my son saw what Santa was supposed to bring to him on Christmas Eve. I would suggest that in the future a question be asked as to what the items being purchased for self, gift etc. This was something we worked out but others may not be as fortunate.

Have been EXTREMELY disappointed in this purchase! I have purchased many items from Amazons different retailers and I have to say, this one I regret. We bought this as a Christmas present for our 7 year old son. Upon opening the box the system looked as though it had been used. I purchased a NEW one. The plastic coating covering the wires was falling off in our hands as we tried to hook the cords up. The bass drum cord was barely hanging on. The drumsticks looked dirty and the system itself looked used. My husband and I were stunned to say the least. We were also told that if we purchased the "guitar hero" games for the playstation 2 that they would work with these instruments, well guess what.. they DO NOT! SO, imagine your son on Christmas morning with a game system that would not work. This was the only thing that he had asked for and this is what he received. He deserved better than that, plus that was an extra $20.00 we could have use to purchase a game that would work on the band hero. I feel as though we were lied to. We were shipped a below quality game system that was marked as NEW with games that would NOT work with that system. We were going to ship back, however, we were able to "swap" it out. I will not be doing any business with this seller again.

We bought the game/accessories used so that could be the possible reason for some of our issues. We have a very difficult time getting the transmitter for both the guitar and drums to connect/turn on. We have to unplug the USB connection and replug it back in (sometimes a couple of times). Once it is connected, they work completely fine until we turn off the system. Once we turn it back on we have the same issue all over again. Also, the game seems to run very slow on PS2 so please consider this before your purchase. Overall we are very happy with the game/accessories (I just remembered that the cable from the drums to the System is very short forcing you to sit quite close to the TV - Minor detail). I don't mind the slowness since it was so much cheaper to purchase it for the PS2 ($100+ more for our other system - Wii).

I ordered this game and accessories mainly for the drums and mic. I already own all of the other guitar hero games and I didn't think I would like this one as much but it suprised me with it's catchy songs. My wife also plays the other guitar hero games with me but this one really appealed her. Great game, good music!

I purchased this as a Christmas present from Amazon as NEW.
When we opened it all the wires were corroded and falling apart and it lasted only a couple of days.

Since i purchased this before Christmas, by the time we opened it, it was past the Return period, which means WE WERE SCREWED!
MY advice is do not purchase this item from Amazon, go with a real distributor.
