From the Manufacturer

Terry Bogard, the "Legendary Hungry Wolf" who has pounded his opponents in every release of the popular "King of Fighters" video game series joins the D-Arts action figure line-up in his Fatal Fury truckers cap, red short-sleeved jacket and denim jeans. New action figure articulation technology will enable an unprecedented range of motion and fluidity, effectively creating an action figure capable of re-enacting the most intense fighting scenes with no joystick required. D-Arts Terry Bogard meticulously depicts the character down to his muscle definition as he appears in the 1994 King of Fighters release and features effect parts to portray Terry Bogard’s characteristic power moves: Burning Knuckle, Power Wave, and even the explosive Power Geyser. Figure set also includes hand parts gripping cord and trademark bag, three sets of interchangeable hand parts, and two sets of interchangeable facial expression parts

Ever since his humble 'Fatal Fury' beginnings back in 1991, Terry Bogard has become one of the most iconic and recognizable characters in the fighting game genre. Terry, and his brother Andy, were the adopted sons of Jeff Bogard, a highly skilled practitioner of the Hakkyokuseiken school of martial arts and student of Tung Fu Rue, the school's master. After his untimely (and questionable) death at the hands of his rival, Geese Howard -a powerful martial artist in his own right- Jeff Bogard leaves it up to his sons to return home and extract their revenge. Terry's story has become more interesting and continues to flesh itself out with each new SNK release.

Terry Bogard has made an appearance in every single Fatal Fury and King of Fighters videogame released to date. He is constantly considered one of the greatest fighting game characters for his varied move-set and unpredictable specials. He is a good character for both novices and hardcore gamers alike, and although his appearance has changed throughout his storied history, he will always be remembered for his iconic red jacket with the large white star on the back, his red cap, blue jeans, and ponytail. It is his appearance in The King of Fighters '94 from which Bandai / Tamashii Nations draw their inspiration for this very figure.

There is no doubt that this figure has just about everything a fan could ask for in a Terry Bogard figure. If you are familiar with the D-Arts line of figures, then you will know what to expect. Terry stands about 5 1/2 inches tall and features impeccable sculpting. The detailing of Terry's clothing is realized in wonderful simplicity. From the red 'chuck-taylor' shoes to the fingerless gloves on his fists, no expense was spared.

This would be an awesome toy for about $25 dollars. It's very detailed, has a lot of moving joints for poses, & comes with a lot of interchangeable parts. Now here's my two main problems with this figure. It's an import from japan which means the price is high from the start. Basically your looking at 10 dollars an inch & this thing is a little bit over five inches tall. The second major grief I have with it is the figure's skin tone. It isn't the normal flesh tone you see in the advertisement picture. in fact the figures skin town is almost orange, like Terry has been working on the beach in California for too long. In all, I'm not saying don't buy it. I'm just giving you an idea of what to expect from the purchase of this figure. I mean that if your a big fan of Terry Bogard it's without a doubt a must have, & if your not it's a definite pass.

This figure does a whole lot right. His sculpt is great, lots of wrinkles and creases. The paint is less impressive, it's pretty flat on everything except his skin tones and jeans, and the eyes on some of his faces feel too high, but quality wise nothing's bad. Included is a shipload of accessories, 4 fire effects, 4 sets of hands, 3 faces, 2 ponytails, and a sack. The effect pieces look very nice and are completely try to replicate special moves.

Articulations pretty great too. His neck is it's own socket so can pivot around, can look up but not really down. Arms have full 360 degree rotation and about 90 forward and back. No bicep movement, but not too noticeable. Elbows about 120 degrees, and rotating wrists with pivot. Diaphragm joint can very slightly hunch and arch and rotate about 90 degrees at the waist. Scale is 6 inches, has a little less bulk than a Marvel Legends but comparable to other Japanese figures.

The only gripe I really have is his legs. He can kick forward significantly and out some. About 120 degrees on the knee. The cuffs of his skinny jeans really limit his feet, they can angle down a bit and not up and barely pivot. Toe articulation though. Because Terry's kinda top heavy and has limited feet articulation, standing him in a natural pose, like his idle, can be a little difficult. That's always a downer, but I think the rest of the figure makes up for it.

Overall, a great figure, and I think a good value too. A Marvel Legends Infinite at twenty bucks has less accessories, articulation, and detail. Probably the fire effects alone are worth ten bucks of that difference. I would definitely get this as a SNK fan. We need more KoF figures! Good fighter figures are surprisingly hard to find.

One last note: Kinda fragile.

Awesome awesome figure!
I hate small scale figures but this one is an exception with the large range of accessories and display options and an amazing likeness, and the paint job is second to none!
The only issue I am having with it is the stability while standing and holding the bag, the feet don't swivel and only have articulation in the front part which make it harder to pose standing, but it's a common issue with action figures and you will find a working pose.

If you like Terry or Fatal Fury do not miss this figure.
