More About the Author

Brenda Sinclair is a historical western and contemporary romance author, treasurer of her local chapter of Romance Writers of America, a healthy lifestyle advocate and past leader of her TOPS weight-loss group, a gardening enthusiast and dog lover.

Brenda was raised on a farm in southern Manitoba and taught school on a semi-remote reservation in northern Manitoba where, during frequent visits to a nearby town, she met her husband, a Treaty Cree member of the local First Nations band. Brenda and her husband have been married for over forty years and raised two sons, and they are extremely proud of their three wonderful grandchildren. Brenda retired from accounting several years ago and traded in numbers for words when she decided to pursue a full-time career in writing.

She is currently working on The Spirit Creek historical western romance series and is looking forward to releasing more books throughout the year.

During writing breaks, Brenda enjoys walking the beautiful Fish Creek Park trails near her home in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with her little dog, Kelly, checking out what Jack Abbott is up to on today's installment of The Young and The Restless, or snuggling with Kelly on the sofa and enjoying a good book.

Brenda believes life is good, and for days that life isn't so good, just get over it. There's always tomorrow.

This book so brings to light what can happen when a miracle is created through love when a big city girl ends up in a small town. Modern ranching with an old time feel leads to that love at first sight romance (even if the participants are not aware of its existence) that all females dream of at some time in their lives. I've read all the Bandit Creek books to date and must say I think this is my favorite. Brenda brings out the essence of romance on every page and you can't wait to see what happens on the next one.

The Bandit Creek series continues to offer a wide diversity of stories and characters, all set within this small town in Montana. In this offering, Ms Sinclair has managed to spin a contemporary romance with the feel of an old time western. She's taken a modern small town with all the toys of modern life (including a ranch helicopter) and woven a story that takes me back to a simpler, easier time and way of life.

This is a romance - the love story is ever at the forefront of the book. It's also a look at values and mores of a simpler time. Ms Sinclair's voice is uniquely suited to this type of story. I hope she writes more of them in the future.

Love the story of Jeremy and Amandas first date to the relationship she wanted. Amanda stood up to Jeremys Dad Arthur and this gained his respect and determination to persue her in a relationship. Great book. It is a great romance between country and city people blending their love.

In a story reminiscent of 'Sweet Home Alabama' meets 'The Ewings (Dallas)', a career woman from the city, Amanda Bailey, is thrown into the small Montana mining town of Bandit Creek . An unexpected, and 'miraculous' pregnancy, ratchets up the tension by putting Amanda in direct conflict with the town's leading family. Ms Sinclair captures the doubts, fears and isolation of her heroine as she draws the reader into a power struggle that holds a baby's future in the balance.
