About the Author
Darlene West laces up her hiking boots and heads for the Rockies as often as she can. She called Calgary home for more than two decades before recently moving to Oliver, British Columbia, where she divides her time between traveling, writing, and learning how to grow grapes. Her articles have appeared in many publications, including Canadian Geographic, Canadian Living, The Globe and Mail, and Runner's World. She is also the author of Frommer's Calgary.

I ordered this book for its' ease of reading and how it highlights the best things to do and see when you have a limited amount of time. The information is up to date and the book offers suggestions on places to eat, stay and making the most of your trip. Like all of the travel for dummies books, this one did not disappoint.

This is quite a good book for do it yourself people. For us I was looking for tour information, both day tours and ones of several days, so for us it was disappointing that it didn't cover this as well.

This book is OK, with some useful information. So far I've just been browsing through it, reading parts, I'd give it a fair to good. My wife and I are plannign a trip to the Candadian Rockies later this summer and will take this book along...I may change my opinion after that...we'll see.
