Addicted to your phone? Fortunately, EarSet 2 is comfortable enough for all-day use. It weighs just 22 grams (0.8 oz) and the design draws on the proven ergonomics from EarSet 1. It works with our Bluetooth-enabled Serene mobile phone, as well as other Bluetooth phones. The microphone arm controls your EarSet 2. Fold it out, and the EarSet is immediately turned on; fold it in, and EarSet 2 turns off. The practical and protective carrying case also doubles as an elegant charger for EarSet 2.

When creating our new Bluetooth headset, our acoustics experts aimed to achieve proper ‘vocal weight’ and tonal characteristics in the voice of the person you are speaking with. This is a traditional weakness of mobile phones and headsets, yet a limitation that Bang & Olufsen was unwilling to accept. The advanced audio processor in the EarSet 2 aims for the truest possible tonal characteristic of the voice of the person you are speaking with. EarSet 2 has a high quality loudspeaker system, where the membrane's capacity is supported by both air vents and a ‘bass port’, which ensures a good frequency response, in turn providing an extremely high degree of tonal precision.

Whether you are talking while walking down a busy office corridor or while shopping downtown, you risk having your voice drowned out. EarSet 2 has two microphones, with special filters, to help reduce or cancel wind noise and other extraneous noises that distort both outgoing and incoming signals. To make the conversation appear realistic and natural, Bang & Olufsen engineers even paid attention to the sound during pauses in the conversation. Where these often appear as blank dropouts on other systems, we deliberately preserve parts of the transmission sound.

Wow! I have tried numerous bluetooth headsets and none match the build and sound quality of this headset. The fit is very comfortable -- I wore it for over eight hours on the first day with no discomfort. The control button is well placed and very easy to use. The sound quality is excellent with voices sounding natural and full. This unit is replacing a Jawbone which has no way near the voice quality and ease of operation of the Earset 2. One particular annoyance of the Jawbone is the bright flashing light that is on when connected and cannot be turned off. I felt like a conspicuous walking lighthouse when wearing the unit. The Earset 2 has a discrete small green blinking light on the back and doesn't yell "look at me!" to the immediate world.
The Earset 2 is expensive when compared to other ear sets and well worth it. In the long run, I spent far more on inferior items trying to find a satisfactory unit and would be way ahead had I purchased the Earset 2 in the first place.

Excellent BT -- in a class by itself,

My husband bought this for me for Christmas and I love it. the sound quality is in a class by itself. The comfort and ability to size it to any ears is what makes this headset truly outstanding. Most of them you have to really force a "one size fits all" fit your head and they did not feel secure at all.
The people that I am talking to aren't constantly asking "what???" and I'm able to hear people clearly even when I'm outside. I love the way the charger base doubles as a case because I can throw the whole thing in my purse and not worry about it getting lost or crushed. This is a BIG advantage in my mind. My only "ding" is that the charger is unlike any other -- the jack is particularly small -- so if you lose that, you are stuck. I have searched high and low for a replacement (I usually like to have at least 2 so I can charge at work and at home) but it seems like the only way I'm going to be able to have a "spare charger", then I'm going to have to buy an additional headset. If anyone knows a source for a replacement charger, please let me know! Other than that -- if you are more organized than I am and not in the habit of losing little things like chargers -- I would highly recommend this headset.
