I have an old B & O Stereo system, i guess at least 20 years old. Still the best design and sound. And now i can listen to my ipod on it too. Perfect. Easy install in the "auX" inlet, turn the h=ipod to high, and listen....

The cable is fine for its intended use; however, i could have purchased a similar cable from Radio Shack for $8 plus tax - what a mistake! The reasons I am disappointed are because of the tip that connects to the iPod is a tad short and the shipping cost.

The pin being short does not make the right connections when pushed in because the rubber protector I have on my iPod takes that extra space (the rubber protector protects the screen, also attaches to my jogging belt and my belt clip). Now, I have to kind of remove a corner of the protector so that the pin would sink in to make the appropriate connection - uncomfortable process! (Radio Shack's pin is long enough that you would not have to remove your iPod's protector). Then, what drove me nuts was the cost to ship the darn cable. If you get the Mini Jack Cable Adapter from B&O retailer you will notice that it is not worth the $15 you are asked to pay, the shipping cost alone was $15 so for $15 all you get is a long cable worth $5. You are better off taking your Beosound unit to Radio Shack to have them match the right connector with the right pin alignment. I did it and almost fainted that it worked the same (the B&O cable now has a backup!).

Aside from that the online purchasing service and the delivery were flawless as indicated in the website and the Amazon notifications made the process so much better and reliable.
